Season 2 (2012) In the aftermath of Season 1, Carrie is on leave from the CIA but is brought back into the field by Saul for a mission in Beirut, which yields conclusive proof that Brody is working with Abu Nazir. Brody strengthens his political position, moving closer to the Vice Presidency, while simultaneously serving as a double agent for the CIA to prevent Nazirs plan. The season ends with a devastating bombing at the CIA headquarters, framing Brody as the culprit, and Carrie helping him escape the country.
