Lonely hitman Barry Berkman arrives in L.A. to kill an aspiring actor but finds himself drawn to the man acting class, led by the narcissistic Gene Cousineau. Barry adopts the persona of an aspiring actor to fit in, quickly forming a dysfunctional relationship with fellow student Sally Reed. He begins a frantic, chaotic struggle to keep his new artistic life separate from his manipulative handler, Fuches, and the Chechen mafia.
