The host, Raymond Bettane, dies after his drink is spiked, turning what should have been a refined evening into a crime scene. DI Mick Palmer and DS Shazia Malik, members of the Metropolitan Police’s Heritage Crime Unit, are called in to investigate. As they question the guests, it quickly becomes clear that appearances can be deceptive and that each attendee harbors secrets.
