Silent Hill (2006)

Desperate to cure her adopted daughter Sharon of terrifying nightmares and sleepwalking that constantly invoke the name Silent Hill, mother Rose Da Silva drives the child to the abandoned West Virginia coal town. Upon arriving, Rose is separated from Sharon in a crash and finds the town covered in an unnatural fog and falling ash. As Rose searches, the environment periodically shifts into a terrifying Otherworld filled with hideous monsters and a fanatical cult. Rose must follow the chilling clues about the town's past involving a girl named Alessa and a brutal burning to rescue Sharon and uncover the dark, vengeful entity that keeps the town trapped in a hellish limbo.
