The movie follows a team of elite Chinese deep-sea explorers and naval officers who are dispatched to the extreme depths of the Hadal Zone, the deepest part of the ocean, to investigate a mysterious signal. Led by the disciplined Captain Luo and the brilliant but controversial scientist Dr. Mei, the mission quickly devolves into a terrifying fight for survival when they discover a massive, ancient, and highly dangerous biome thriving in the crushing depths. They must race against time, impossible pressure, and an unknown biological threat to relay their findings to the surface before the forces of nature and potential human conspiracy seal their fate miles below the waves.
