My Sunshine (2024) – Japanese

On a small, snow-covered island in Hokkaido, Takuya, a shy boy with a stutter, feels out of place playing the ice hockey expected of him. Instead, he becomes captivated by the grace of figure skater Sakura, a talented young star who has recently arrived from Tokyo. Her coach, Arakawa, a former champion, notices Takuya's quiet passion and decides to pair the two of them as a competitive ice-dancing duo. As the three share the winter season, a beautiful, non-traditional bond forms between them, challenging conservative community norms. However, their delicate harmony is threatened when Sakura makes a discovery about Arakawa's personal life that puts Takuya's newfound emotional freedom in jeopardy.
