Krzyk: Losing Control (2024) – German

Bacteriologist Lena is already struggling with the suppressed grief of a recent stillbirth when she witnesses a horrific car accident on the highway, hearing the final scream of a dying woman trapped in a burning vehicle. Unable to speak about her own unresolved anguish, Lena becomes obsessively entangled in the life of the deceased woman. She begins an affair with the grieving widower, and gradually attempts to assume the role of mother to his young son. As persistent insomnia and guilt erode the boundary between Lena's dreams and reality, she desperately seeks help from a local therapist, realizing she must confront her buried trauma and rediscover her own identity before she completely loses control.
