Kingdom (2019)

"Kingdom" is a 2019 Japanese historical action film based on Yasuhisa Hara's manga. The story follows Li Xin, a young orphan who dreams of becoming a great general in ancient China's Qin Kingdom. Alongside his friend Piao, they train to escape their slave status. When Piao is taken by the emperor's men and later returns mortally wounded, Xin vows to fulfill his promise and joins King Ying Zheng in reclaiming his throne from brother Cheng Jiao. Xin faces numerous challenges as he rises through the ranks and battles against formidable foes.
