Bình An is happily committed to her talented, yet flirtatious, director boyfriend, Vũ Trần, unaware that her best friend, Bảo Toàn, has been secretly and hopelessly in love with her for years. Their relationship is the definition of the classic "friend zone": Bảo Toàn is always there to bail Bình An out of trouble, often traveling across the country with her to fix issues with her current relationship. Through their journey across poetic Vietnamese landscapes, hidden conflicts arise, and buried truths are revealed, forcing both friends to finally confront their authentic, complicated feelings about love, risk, and whether Bảo Toàn can finally escape the emotional prison of being "just a friend."
