Dreamtown (2024)

The film centers on Mickey Richards (Anthony Murphy), an aging, delusional rocker and part-time janitor who clings fiercely to the long-gone fame of his youth, named after his former band's minor hit, "Dreamtown." Mickey is forced to confront his failures both as a musician and as a father when he attempts to reconnect with his estranged adult son, Alan (Cian Hyland), who is beginning to find his own success in the music industry. Mickey's jealousy and inability to pass the baton threaten to push Alan away, forcing the rocker to choose between his irretrievable past and a chance at real connection.
