During Taiwan's 1950s White Terror era, a young farm girl journeys to Taipei to reclaim the body of her executed brother. Narrowly escaping human traffickers, she forms a deep bond with a discharged soldier turned pedicab driver. Together, they risk their lives to raise ransom money for a proper burial.
