Mitch Pileggi is an American actor born on April 5, 1952, best known for his role as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner on The X-Files. His career also includes notable roles in films like Shocker and Basic Instinct, and TV shows such as Sons of Anarchy, Stargate Atlantis, and Supernatural. Before acting, he worked as a defense contractor in Iran until the 1979 revolution, and he played college football at the University of Texas.
